Today’s hot topic is CC creams!

BB creams, CC creams, DD creams! They’re everywhere and what’s so great about them? Springs right around the corner and I’m sure we are all looking for the perfect day time face makeup to beat the heat. A few weeks ago we talked about the power of BB creams. The ability of a having an all-in-one product.

What’s the difference between a BB cream and a CC cream? CC creams stands for “Color Correcting”. A tinted moisturizer that has skin care provided to help over time even out skin tone.

Product: The texture of this product is very light-weight. I recommend using your fingers to blend to make sure it fully blends into your skin. Using a brush may cause strikes. The shade matching technology has mini beads that is visible. Don’t worry you will not be able to feel the beads because they are so microscopic.

PERFORMANCE: When I first squeezed this product out I was like “WHOA!!, its GRAY”!!- VERY gray… Most BB/CC creams are sometimes slightly gray to make it a universal shade. So I was a bit concern since my past experience the gray tint couldn’t match my olive tone skin.

This isn’t the case with this CC cream. It matched my shade perfectly– which made me happy considering I haven’t found the perfect shade match for the longest time.

To show you guys the magic happening with this CC cream. What better what to make a photo slideshow of the process:

As you can see the texture is runny- meaning you know it would feel very hydrating. Because the product starts off with a completely gray color it takes about a minute or two to COMPLETELY blend everything.- My shade is in the color “Natural“.

The before photo shows my green veins and the after photo shows ALMOST a medium coverage but you can definitely see a dewy/wet finish.

  • Provides SPF for sun protection
  • Able to match skin tone
  • Light-weight
  • Travel friendly
  • Build-able without looking cakey
  • Has many skin care benefits

  • Only has 3 shades to pick from- I don’t feel there is enough shades for deeper skin tones
  • Not enough coverage for most people
  • Price may not be budget friendly for everyone
  • Oily-very oily skin tone may not be able to use this.

My Final Thoughts:

I’m pretty impressed by the CC cream. I’ve experienced BB/CC creams that have universal shades not matching before and VERY sheer coverage. This CC cream was able to match me perfectly and it was sheer but I added a lot and it was enough to even out my skin tone but that was about it.

Overall, as much I enjoyed this CC cream I don’t see the “wow” factor enough to spend the money. For my skin I prefer more coverage and a more semi-matte look.  This CC cream would have to be set so it would not move because of its dewy finish it leaves a slight sticky finish IF you don’t set it.

I have not used it long enough to say if the skin care benefits is working.

This is a good product just not for MY skin type. I would recommend this more for teenagers who have more of a perfect skin so they don’t have much to conceal and if they’re shade is in the shade range they won’t have a hard time matching since the color matching technology works very well.

I have been enjoying this as a day-time look out on a rush product looks very natural evening out the skin tone.

If you are looking for a spring/summer foundation and if you have light-medium skin tone with no blemish skin and dry skin this would be a great option for you. If you are NONE of these than I say skip it.

Thank you for reading

Have a wonderful day !

  1. Interesting, i’ve never tried a CC cream that is initially gray in color. Thats cool that it changes as you blend though 🙂

  2. I’ve never heard of this brand before xD. I’ve tried plenty of BB creams but never tried a CC one before. Haha. The color matching technology is quite cool though.
