OoooO. AHhhhhh… Sparkleyy…
The Limited Edition Bobbi Brown Sequin Shimmer Eye Palette was brought out during the 2013 Holidays Collection. This palette contains 10 shimmery shades with a nice size mirror. Bobbi Brown is very well known for their shimmer bricks now for the holidays they came out with shimmer bricks for eyes. Great for holiday parties!
On to the Review:
I got this as a birthday present (Thanks Kat) so I have not seen this palette in person. I wasn’t expecting it to be as small as it is. I didn’t noticed how comparable the colors were to the Urban Decay Naked 3 having the rose gold tones. (Review coming up). I had trouble swatching the first 4 shades because they weren’t as pigmented but this could be different on lighter skin tones. Most shimmer palettes usually start to blend in together and all the shades will start looking identical, this isn’t the case with this palette. This palette you will be able to see all the shades completely. For this palette I would use it for more natural look or a daytime wear look.
- Compact/ Travel Friendly
- Easy to blend
- No Fall out
- Some shades can multi-task by using as a face highlighter
- Colors can be mixed in together if you’re not careful or use a small enough brush
- The first 4 shades aren’t as pigmented
- Because this is all shimmer palette you would need another palette to make a full eye look.
- Price is steep for a small palette
Overall this a great palette for someone who enjoys shimmery shadows or rosy tones. The quality is fantastic! Great for everyday wear. As much as I enjoy the rose gold look it can be hard to pick up on olive toned skin. I say if you already own the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette you could probably skip out on this one. Even though this was part of the holiday collection you can still get your hands on it on the Nordstrom or Sephora, or other major departments where Bobbi Brown is sold.
